Beginning Stages of Genital Warts While contracting genital warts may seem like a frightening experience, the sooner you are diagnosed the more effective the treatment options will be. While there's no cure for the virus that causes genital warts, it's very important to seek treatment even though you may still be able to spread the disease to other partners while undergoing treatment. As with most sexually transmitted diseases, genital warts respond better to early treatment, which is why obtaining an accurate diagnosis from a licensed physician is key to fighting the virus. If you suspect you may have come in contact with the virus, it's best to seek advice from your doctor as soon as possible to determine whether you're in the beginning stages of genital warts or if more advanced treatment options will be needed. During the beginning stages of genital warts, those who experience symptoms may notice small clusters of two or four bumps spaced closely together around the genital region. These growths can be flesh colored or red, and may appear significantly noticeable or very difficult to detect. Throughout the advanced stages, genital warts may take on the appearance of large cauliflower shaped patches. Unfortunately, many people of both genders do not experience symptoms of any kind, thus making an accurate diagnosis very difficult to obtain. However, if you suspect you may have contracted HPV (the virus that causes genital warts,) it's best to seek treatment as soon as possible. Hopefully, your doctor will catch the disease in the beginning stages, thus making treatment options more effective at ridding your body of the current outbreak. |
